Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Sometimes your best photos are those that you didn't completely prepare for. Your mind may have been preoccupied with other events or tasks, and so it may have been a blank slate regarding the event you were shooting.

I tore through a few cards at a friend's son's pee-wee game, and was actually pretty happy with some of the results. It's amazing what will happen when you don't pressure yourself.

In the Mulberry Mulch

On the Gold Coast of Long Island lies a park previously owned by a person who probably had ridiculous amounts of money. The estate is perfectly landscaped with fountains and even a cottage for the ghost of caretakers gone by. The slate walkway seen here leads back to the gardener's cottage, where our little boy walked before disappearing beyond the pink haze of autumn fluffery.
